AKRON, OH – June 18, 2012 – Akron-based producer of machine vision inspection systems, Applied Vision Corporation, has been recognized with a Leading EDGE Award for the fifth consecutive year. This award is presented by The Entrepreneurs EDGE, an organization with strong civic backing dedicated to economic development in Northeast Ohio through growth and entrepreneurship.

The Leading EDGE Award is presented to leading Northeast Ohio mid-market companies based on unbiased, objective data, including the amount of revenue generated and the total amount of compensation paid to employees. To qualify, companies must operate within Northeast Ohio, export goods and/or services outside the region and achieve annual net sales between $1 million and $750 million.

Applied Vision was honored during the 2012 Crain’s Cleveland Business Leading EDGE Awards Recognition Dinner, which took place May 16th at Akron University’s Student Center Ballroom. In addition, company information was featured in Leading EDGE Awards Magazine, which was included in the May issue of Crain’s Cleveland Business.
