Akron, Ohio – Applied Vision Corporation played host to delegates from The U.S. Conference of Mayors which presented Akron Mayor Daniel Horrigan with its Business Advocate Award. There were over 70 attendees at the ceremony including Jeffrey Bean, managing director at the U.S. Conference of Mayors and eBay’s senior director of government relations, Sharon McBride.

Applied Vision was asked to host the ceremony due to its success becoming a global leader in the field of machine vision inspection for the food and beverage container industry. Currently with over 100 employees, Applied Vision is embarking on its third expansion which will increase its headquarters and manufacturing facility to over 100,000 square feet. “This will enable us to continue to develop new technology and remain at the forefront of the industry”, said Amir Novini, president of Applied Vision.
