Agro Dutch Industries Chooses Applied
Vision as Machine Vision Partner for New Canmaking Line
AKRON, OH – July 11, 2006 – Agro Dutch
Industries Ltd., India’s leading producer and exporter of
mushrooms, recently chose U.S.-based machine vision supplier
Applied Vision to design and manufacture the inspection system
for its new easy-open end line. Applied Vision was chosen based
on the importance of ensuring the highest quality possible for
Agro Dutch’s new canmaking operation – the first of its kind in
India.
Chandigarh-based Argo Dutch is expanding operations to include
the manufacture of its own cans in order to ensure the
highest-quality product and expand export sales. The new
operation will include India’s first full-aperture easy-open end
line fitted with Applied Vision’s Genius inspection system
driven by digital Gigabit Ethernet technology.
Applied Vision’s Genius Food End Inspection System meets Agro
Dutch’s stringent quality standards because it combines powerful
yet easy-to-use algorithms with the unmatched image quality of
digital Gigabit Ethernet camera technology. The system can
inspect from 200 to 600 series ends, automatically detecting
defects like compound skips, foreign objects, dents, scratches,
curl defects and more with extreme accuracy. Integrated alarm
functions also notify the operator of process trends so the
cause of the defects can quickly be identified and corrected,
reducing overall spoilage.
